The crystal of the refractory brick has a fixed melting point. When the crystal is heated to a certain temperature, that is, the melting point, the crystal begins to melt, but the crystal material has not been fully melted before the heating, the temperature is no longer rising. While the non crystalline material is not the case when it is heated or cooled, they gradually become soft with the increase of temperature in heating, began to flow, and finally completely into liquid. The properties of crystal in different directions are different, such as hardness, thermal conductivity, optical refractive index and so on. And the non crystal is isotropic, these phenomena also affect the properties of refractory brick.
